| What is your personal story and how did it lead you to the Villa?: | I grew up in a family where I felt nurtured, but some of my relatives struggled with postpartum depression, alcoholism and adhd which changed many of our family dynamics. As I got older, my role turned more into a supportive role being a caretaker and I was able to guide my family member who struggled with ADHD to focus on themselves in a positive way. When I found out about Villa of Hope, I thought- it sounds like many people struggle in their lives I would love to connect with those people.

| What do you like most about working for the Villa?: | The flexibility has been amazing! I have been able to finish a graduate degree and raise two small children all while working at Villa of Hope. I will be pursuing a degree in school counseling, but I couldn’t have done it working anywhere else. Supervisors and Co-workers at the Villa are the most supportive people I have ever met.

| What is one of your favorite memories/moments while working here? : | Staff lunches – its a nice way to get to know others and learn about their stories too or even stories they have working with clients- you never know when you will run into something similar.

| What would you say to someone who is considering working at the Villa? : | If your looking for flexibility, good pay and building close relationships with co-workers – I recommend. |
