Rochester, NY – Thursday, June 23, 2022 —Villa of Hope was awarded a $15,000 grant from New York State’s Governor Kathy Hochul joint initiative with OASAS to support its telehealth services for substance use. Statistics show patients missing mental health appointments has increased, especially during the Covid pandemic, which could lead to poor health outcomes for individuals struggling with substance use disorder. With appointment reminder software and increasing telehealth opportunities, Villa of Hope aims to increase patient appointment rates and increase access for community members to services much needed. Funding was provided to New York State through the Federal Substance Abuse Prevention & Treatment Block Grant Supplemental award and administered by NYS OASAS.
